Paras Kalnawat

Paras Kalnawat, who previously appeared on the show Anupamaa, recently hosted a ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on his social media. The actor made a fairly severe remark about leaving the show, claiming that the rest of the cast would have departed as well if given the option.

Paras portrayed Samar Shah, the onscreen son of the show’s title character, Rupali Ganguly. His contract with the popular show, however, was cancelled in July 2022.

During the AMA, a fan inquired, “Why do you leave Anuapmaa?” In response, the actor stated that he needed to quit the show in order to improve his life. In his response, he also stated, “I would always be thankful to the makers for giving me such a great show.”
“But yaaron kahin pohochne ke liye kahin se nikalna zaroori hota hai, and I believe I’m in a much better and peaceful place,” the actor continued. To be honest, 80% of the cast would leave if given the chance. Risk ke liye ladne ki taqat har kisi mein nahi hoti.”

Paras’ contract was cancelled in July 2022 because he allegedly signed up for the dancing reality show Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa without alerting Anupamaa’s producers.
“While I am grateful to Rajan sir for giving me this wonderful show, for a long time I did not have much to do,” Paras remarked in an interview with theindianexpress.com. Even though we were working on 18-page scenes, I didn’t want to be idle. I had escalated the situation with the relevant authorities, and they had promised to sort something out, but I couldn’t wait any longer. As an actor and on a personal level, I was pleased when Jhalak came my way.”
