Adah Sharma, who plays a lady indoctrinated into joining the terrorist group ISIS in her latest film The Kerala Story, recently told out about her grandmother’s reaction. Adah was concerned about her grandmother’s reaction to the film’s terrible rape scenes. Her grandma, on the other hand, described it as a “educational and informative experience.”
The actress is enjoying the success of her most recent film, The Kerala Story. In the film, she plays Shalini Unnikrishnan, a woman tricked into converting to Islam and joining the terrorist group ISIS.
Adah has received appreciation from everyone, but her grandmother’s reaction was the most important to her.
In a recent interview, the 1920s actress discussed her grandmother’s reaction to the hard-hitting picture. She also revealed that she was concerned about the film’s terrible rape scenes. “My mother and grandmother had heard the story. I was worried about Granny’s reaction, especially after seeing the rape scenes. “I was only concerned about how she would react to all of those upsetting events,” she explained. “I admit that my 90-year-old granny is the strongest (member,” she continued. She described the movie as an interesting and informative experience and stated, ‘I want all my pupils to watch it.’
I informed her it was an adult film, and she argued that it should have been a U/A film so that younger girls could see it, be aware of it, and be more vigilant.” Sudipto Sen wrote and directed The Kerala Story, which also stars Sonia Balani and Siddhi Idnani in crucial parts. It was released in theatres on May 5.
The film sparked outrage when it claimed that “32,000” non-Muslim girls were converted to Islam. Political organisations expressed polarising views on it. While the film was outlawed in some parts of the country, it was supported by other states and was deemed tax-free.
The Supreme Court recently stayed an injunction prohibiting the exhibition of the contentious film. For the time being, it is raking in the dough at the box office!
