The Fatehabad mother and children found dead case has left a family devastated in Mehuwala village, Fatehabad district, Haryana. An Anganwadi worker identified as Sudesh and her two children were found dead inside a water tank at their residence.
Police have arrested Sudesh’s husband, Sandeep Machra, after her brother, Praveen, filed a complaint alleging harassment and mental distress. Investigators are examining the allegations along with medical, forensic and other evidence to determine what happened.
According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that Sudesh may have mixed poison into milk and given it to her children before they entered the water tank. Investigators also suspect that she may have consumed poison before entering the tank herself. However, the exact sequence of events has not yet been established.

Sudesh’s brother, Praveen, has alleged that she had been experiencing severe mental distress because of her husband’s alleged drug addiction and harassment.
Based on his complaint, police registered a case against Sandeep Machra under Sections 103(1) and 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to relatives, Sudesh and Sandeep had a love marriage in 2014 and had two children. The family has also told police about social media content that Sudesh allegedly posted before her death.
Relatives said she had shared a video and a social media reel in which she spoke about difficulties in her married life. Police are examining the material to determine whether it contains information relevant to the Fatehabad mother and children found dead investigation.

Family Started Search After Sudesh and Children Went Missing

The family subsequently began searching for them. They were eventually found dead inside the water tank at their home in Mehuwala village.

Husband Was Reportedly Away When Incident Occurred

Sub-Inspector Vijender Pilania of Bhattu police station said police found a video allegedly recorded by Sudesh before her death on her mobile phone.
