Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son, Anant Ambani, is all set to tie the knot with industrialist Viren Merchant’s daughter, Radhika Merchant in Gujarat’s Jamnagar in July. However, pre-wedding festivities are set to begin from today, and will continue till March 03. Celebrities from all over the world have already started arriving in the city to take part in the extravaganza event.
Celebrities who have already reached the venue to attend the event includes Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg with his wife Priscilla Chan, International pop singer Rihanna, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and bassist Adam Blackstone, superstar Shah Rukh Khan with his family, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh with Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt with Ranbir Kapoor, film producer Boney Kapoor, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, film director Atlee, Orhan Awatramani and several others.
Other important personalities who are expected to reach Jamnagar are Bill Gates, fellow Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, as well as many Bollywood film stars and politicians. Invitations have also been sent to prominent figures like Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Bhutan’s Queen Jetsun Pema, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, and Saudi Aramco chairperson Yasir Al Rumayyan for the pre-wedding festivities. The pre-wedding celebrations of Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son, Anant Ambani kickstarted with a traditional ‘anna seva’ ceremony, which took place in Jogwad village near Reliance Township in Jamnagar. During the event, Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant, and other members of the Ambani and Merchant families served traditional Gujarati food to villagers. Radhika’s maternal grandmother and parents, Viren and Shaila Merchant were also part of the event. Reportedly, the ‘anna seva’ involves serving food to approximately 51,000 local residents and it is expected to continue for several days.
