Paresh Rawal Confirms Hera Pheri 3 Shoot Timeline, Opens Up About Bond with Priyadarshan
The much-awaited Hera Pheri 3 has been making headlines ever since it was announced, and now actor Paresh Rawal has shared a big update that will excite fans of the iconic comedy franchise.
In a recent conversation with News18, Rawal revealed that the film is finally on track and that shooting is scheduled to begin in February–March next year. The film will once again reunite him with Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar, as they return to their beloved roles of Baburao, Shyam, and Raju.
Earlier, Rawal had briefly walked away from the project due to reported misunderstandings with Akshay Kumar, creating uncertainty around the film. However, the issues were eventually resolved, ensuring that Baburao — one of Bollywood’s most loved characters — remains a part of the upcoming installment.
Rawal admitted that his temporary exit created financial setbacks for the producers and even led to legal action by Akshay Kumar. Clarifying the matter, he said he had returned the signing amount along with interest. When asked whether this episode affected his rapport with director Priyadarshan, the actor stressed, “A lot has happened, but that hasn’t soured my relationship with Priyadarshan. Aise rishta kharab nahi hota hai.”
According to him, the incident has actually made their relationship stronger and more transparent. Rawal and Priyadarshan have already completed work on Bhoot Bangla, the director’s comeback project, and Hera Pheri 3 will mark their 15th collaboration.
As for the possibility of a Baburao spin-off, Rawal was quick to dismiss it. He explained that Baburao’s charm lies in his chemistry with Raju and Shyam.
“A film is a collaborative effort. I don’t think Baburao can exist on his own,” he concluded.With the shoot dates locked and the original cast returning, fans can finally look forward to the third chapter in the cult comedy series.
