AAP has accused the BJP of kidnapping the party’s candidate from Surat (east) ahead of the Gujarat Assembly polls.
Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of kidnapping an AAP candidate ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections. AAP levelled serious allegations against the saffron party, escalating the political turmoil in the poll-bound state.
Kanchal Jariwal, according to Kejriwal, was under pressure to withdraw his nomination and has since gone missing. Kejriwal claimed that the AAP candidate from Surat (East) had been kidnapped.
Kanchan Jariwala, our candidate from Surat (East), and his family have been missing since yesterday. First, the BJP attempted to have his nomination rejected. However, his nomination was accepted. He was later pressured to withdraw his nomination.
Has he been abducted?

Replicating Kerjiwal’s accusations, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said, “Murder of democracy! Our candidate Kanchan Jariwala from Surat East seat has been kidnapped by BJP. First, BJP unsuccessfully tried to get his nomination papers rejected, then coerced him to withdraw his candidature and now kidnapped him. He is missing since last afternoon.”
