For people who appreciate sun, sand, and beaches, the Andaman Islands are one of the best destinations to visit in India. The island location, located in the Bay of Bengal, is home to a rich assortment of aquatic species. Not only is the aquatic life unreal and unbelievable, but the forest cover in more than three-quarters of the territory is as well.
The Andaman Islands provide a wide variety of tourist attractions. In reality, the island is one of India’s top places for diving, snorkelling, scuba diving, and water sports.

This is everything you need to know about visiting the Andaman Islands:

When is the best time to go?

The best time to visit the Andaman Islands is from October to February. Because this is the busiest time of year to visit the island, it is best to schedule everything ahead of time to avoid paying high airfares and hotel rates. The weather is excellent throughout this time, allowing you to make the most of your holiday.
If you want to go scuba diving, the months of January through May are ideal. During this time, the water is calmer and visibility is excellent for scuba divers.

How do you want to go to the Andaman Islands?

Flights to the Andaman Islands
Indians do not need a permit to visit the Andaman Islands. Flying to Andaman is the quickest way to get there. There are direct flights to Andaman from Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai, which take about 2.5 hours.

Ship to the Andaman Islands
Port Blair is served by passenger ships departing from Chennai, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam. There are three or four sailings per month, with the ship docking in Port Blair and the journey taking 50 to 60 hours.

Weather
The temperature is nice and the days are clear, though humid, during the summer and winter seasons. It’s a terrific time to take advantage of the Andamans’ notable attractions, such as sightseeing, beach relaxation, and water sports. The greatest times to visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are during these two seasons. In the months of April to June, the temperature ranges from 24°C to 37°C during the summer season. The temperature fluctuates from 22°C to 35°C during the monsoon season, which runs from July to September, and from 20°C to 30°C during the winter season, which runs from October to March.
