Political commentator Tehseen Poonawalla has entered Rise and Fall 2 as a wildcard contestant, setting the stage for a family face-off with his brother, Shehzad Poonawalla. A new promo featuring host Virender Sehwag welcoming Tehseen has sparked interest, with the newcomer taking a playful dig at his brother and confidently declaring that he will be the Poonawalla to win the show.
The promo hints at a change in the dynamics inside the reality show house, where the two brothers will now compete alongside each other. Sehwag’s introduction and Tehseen’s remarks suggest that their rivalry could become one of the season’s talking points.
Tehseen Takes a Dig at Brother Shehzad
In the promotional video, Sehwag welcomes Tehseen with a cheeky remark about the show having two members of the Poonawalla family.
“Aap ek Poonawalla ko jhel nahi paa rahe the. Main do karne wala hoon,” Sehwag says, which translates to, “You couldn’t handle one Poonawalla. Now, I’m bringing in two.”
Tehseen then comments on how the other contestants reacted to his arrival. He says most of them appeared happy to see him, with one notable exception: his brother Shehzad.
Taking a dig at Shehzad’s talkative nature, Tehseen says, “Shehzad kabhi bhi chup nahi hota hai, mere aane se yeh silent ho gaya.” The remark translates to, “Shehzad is never quiet, but my arrival has silenced him.”
The exchange adds a humorous edge to Tehseen’s entry and hints at the banter viewers could see between the brothers as the competition progresses.
‘That Poonawalla Is Me,’ Says Tehseen
The promo takes a competitive turn when Sehwag reveals that Shehzad believes only one Poonawalla will emerge victorious in the show.
Tehseen responds confidently, saying, “Aur woh Poonawalla main hoon,” meaning, “And that Poonawalla is me.”
His statement sets up a potential contest between the brothers, who will now have to navigate the challenges, alliances and strategic decisions that shape the show. While the promo does not reveal how their relationship will play out during the competition, it suggests that the family connection could add another layer to the game.
With both brothers in the house, viewers will be watching to see whether their playful exchanges remain light-hearted or develop into a more serious rivalry.
Tehseen Reacts to His Entry on X
Tehseen also reacted to the promo on X, sharing it with a message for viewers.
“Who ever wins, a Poonawalla will always Rise & no one, no one should Fall !!!” he wrote.
His post came in response to an X handle that shared the promo and commented on the brothers’ face-off, suggesting that Shehzad’s reaction could hint at the competition ahead.
Tehseen is a political commentator who previously appeared on Bigg Boss 13 as a wildcard contestant. His entry into Rise and Fall 2 marks another appearance in reality television, this time alongside his brother.
