The death of Twisha Sharma, a young woman from Noida who was found dead at her marital home in Bhopal, has sparked outrage and fresh debate over dowry harassment and women’s safety. According to reports, Twisha Sharma had met Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth Singh through a dating application in 2024. The two later got married in December 2025. Family members said the marriage initially appeared normal, but problems allegedly started within a few months.

Twisha Sharma Allegedly Sent Disturbing Final Messages

Family members of Twisha Sharma claimed she had been under mental stress and repeatedly complained about harassment after marriage. According to relatives, Twisha Sharma sent emotional messages shortly before her death, expressing fear and emotional distress.

One of the messages reportedly sent by Twisha Sharma stated that she felt “trapped” and unable to speak freely. The family believes these messages indicate that she was facing serious pressure inside her marital home.

The disturbing messages quickly went viral on social media, with many users demanding a thorough investigation into the case.

Twisha Sharma Found Dead At Bhopal Home

Police officials said Twisha Sharma was found hanging inside her house in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal on May 12. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

The incident raised suspicion after Twisha Sharma’s family alleged that she was being mentally harassed by her husband and in-laws. Family members also claimed that Twisha Sharma had spoken to them only hours before the incident and had sounded emotionally disturbed.

Reports related to the post-mortem examination also mentioned injury marks on Twisha Sharma’s body, further increasing demands for a deeper investigation into the case.

Family Alleges Dowry Harassment

The family of Twisha Sharma accused her husband and in-laws of harassment and alleged that dowry-related pressure existed after marriage. Relatives claimed Twisha Sharma had informed them several times about arguments and emotional stress inside her marital home.

The case has now been registered under dowry death and harassment charges. Police officials confirmed that an investigation is ongoing and evidence connected to the case is being examined carefully.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns surrounding dowry-related harassment cases in India.

Husband Still Absconding

According to reports, Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth Singh is still absconding. Police teams have reportedly been formed to trace him and continue the investigation.

Authorities are also examining communication records, witness statements, and medical reports connected to the Twisha Sharma case. Officials stated that all angles are being investigated and further action will be taken based on the findings.

The delay in the arrest of the accused has triggered criticism from the family and social media users, many of whom questioned why immediate action had not been taken.

Family Protests Outside CM Residence

The Twisha Sharma case took a dramatic turn after her family staged a protest outside the Chief Minister’s residence demanding justice and a fresh post-mortem examination at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi.

Family members claimed they were not satisfied with the current investigation and demanded an independent medical examination to uncover the truth behind Twisha Sharma’s death.

Supporters and relatives gathered during the protest carrying placards and raising slogans demanding strict action against all accused persons.

Social Media Demands Justice For Twisha Sharma

The case quickly became one of the most discussed topics online, with hashtags related to justice for Twisha Sharma trending across social media platforms.

Many users expressed anger over increasing cases of domestic harassment and dowry-related deaths, while others demanded faster investigations and stricter punishment for accused individuals in such cases.

Women’s rights activists also called for stronger laws and quicker legal action in cases involving harassment and suspicious deaths after marriage.
