Amit Shah on Gujarat Polls

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that the fight in the Gujarat Assembly elections will be between the Congress and the BJP, dismissing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a possible rival.

Amit Shah was asked if he sees a triangular contest in the Gujarat elections while speaking at Panchayat AajTak on Tuesday. According to Amit Shah, “Since 1990, we have not lost a single election in Gujarat, whether Vidhan Sabha or Lok Sabha. Gujaratis have always been kind to us. Only on the day of the results will we know whether or not the competition was triangular.”

According to Amit Shah, “The BJP has not launched a direct attack on anyone. However, if allegations are made in public, it is our responsibility to respond. If someone wants to run for office on false and fabricated charges, it is our responsibility to clear them up.”

When asked if the AAP’s demand for the depiction of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh on currency notes had shaken the BJP, Amit Shah said, “These issues must not divert our attention away from the development agenda. Our democracy has matured, and political leaders must follow suit.”

Amit Shah also stated that the BJP has been in power in Gujarat for 27 years and has brought about positive change in the state. “We also have a state roadmap for the next ten years. We are not campaigning against any political party. I appeal to the people to support the double engine government, and together we will make the state the best in the country “According to Amit Shah.
