Bengaluru: The Vikram lander on the Moon’s surface has been captured on camera by the Pragyan rover of Chandrayaan-3. This morning, the image was captured from a distance. The Navigation Camera onboard the Rover (NavCam), according to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), took the “image of the mission.”
The picture shows the Vikram lander poised on the Moon’s surface. The image from the Pragyan rover also shows ChaSTE (Chandra’s Surface Thermophysical Experiment), which recently assessed the temperature profile of the lunar surface on the South Pole to comprehend the thermal behavior of the Moon’s surface.
ISRO tweeted the image with the message, “Smile, please! This morning, Pragyan Rover took a picture of Vikram Lander. The Rover’s Navigation Camera (NavCam) captured the “image of the mission.” The Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS) is creating NavCams for the Chandrayaan-3 Mission.
